Our Q1 2026 scan of 4,196 APAC hotels surfaced a pattern worth watching: in our Perplexity citation study, TripAdvisor appeared in the plurality of hotel recommendations — ahead of Booking.com, Agoda, or the hotel’s own site. For independents with thin TripAdvisor presence, that’s a direct AI-visibility risk.
